Tactical Buyer (m/w/d)

Our client, a well-known company in the energy sector, is looking for a committed and reliable buyer (m/f/d) for the location in Düsseldorf.

• Ensure best value-for-money procurement, maximizing business and project value
• Overall sourcing responsibility, amongst other things for specific tender strategies, supplier invitation & selection, negotiation and implementation of supplier contracts
• Deliver efficient and effective procurement operations while ensuring compliance
• Support and challenge business colleagues across all countries to ensure best commercial outcomes in alignment with “Business Solutions Team” within the Procurement Organization
• Systems & tools accountability for all sourcing activities using SAP & SAP Ariba for tenders
• Actively manage suppliers ensuring competitive contracts and reliable supplies
• Contract & Claims management where required

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the energy industry and/or procurement
• Background in procurement or experience with technical components & services is a plus
• Proven ability to manage large procurement projects and/or tenders
• Experience with SAP Ariba and relevant platforms (e.g., eVergabe)
• Ability to effectively manage a wide range of stakeholders, their varying requirements, and cross-functional overlaps
• Strong analytical skills and a drive for performance improvement
• Creative, open-minded, and adaptable, with a positive attitude
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in international teams, with an appreciation for cultural differences and flexibility regarding international travel is a plus
• Fluency in English and German is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
